Upstander Legacy Gala: Thursday, October 20

The Tyler Clementi Foundation will be hosting an evening dedicated to celebrating their work to end online and offline bullying as they name two champions of their work as their 2022 Upstanders, including George Takei. The gala takes place TONIGHT from 6-9 p.m. ET, with a VIP reception at 5 p.m., at the Rumi Event Space, in New York City. More information and tickets are available from Tyler Clementi.

Hollywood Show: Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 22

There will be a plethora, nay, a multitude of Star Trek and other celebrities at this latest signing and photo op event, taking place at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel, in Burbank, California. Head over to the Hollywood Show for all the details.

Star Trek: Episodes of Horror: Saturday, October 22

Join the NYC Star Trek Meetup FFN Group and the USS Gerard Holder to enjoy a few frightening tales from the various series in the franchise. This free gathering for all Trekkies is happening at the Dugout Sports Bar on 61st St. in Queens from 12-4 p.m. Check out Eventbrite for the details and to register.

Kate Mulgrew in Bloomington: Saturday, October 23

Movie Night with Machine: Star Trek: The Motion Picture: Tuesday, October 25

Join artist and performer Machine Dazzle for the Trek entry in his screening series of beloved throwback films accompanying his solo exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Design, in New York City. The screening begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. Head over to MAD for more information and to order tickets.

·These are the Twitter watchalongs:

o   #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

o   #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

o   #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

·But wait, there’s more watch partying: Club IDIC hosts a weekly watch party and discussion at 6pm Alberta Time every Friday. The schedule and Zoom links are available at the Club IDIC Facebook page.

·To Proudly Go, a New York-based nonprofit, will be hosting Star Trek: Lower Decks season three viewing parties each Saturday. The gatherings begin at 6:00pm ET at the Barracuda Lounge in New York City. Tickets are free, and vaccination is required. The viewing parties also include Star Trek trivia games, special Star Trek-themed drag performances, two-for-one drinks, fabulous Star Trek prizes, and merchandise. Each viewing party is dedicated to supporting Impac+NYC which is a social support community of queer, gay, bi, and trans men living with HIV living in New York together. ·Virtual Trek Con presents The Main Viewer every Tuesday - a live discussion show on YT with occasional special guests and an open chat geared towards fan interaction.

·Disco Does DnD - livestream DnD game with DSC actors on Twitch, every Sunday at 1pmPT/4pmET.

· Join Grey Havens Philosophy and Outworld Brewing every first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. as they discuss the big ideas inspired by Star Trek. The gatherings are at Outworld Brewing, in Longmont, Colorado. Attendance is free, but an RSVP for planning purposes is appreciated at Eventbrite.

·And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website. They meet twice monthly on the first Tuesday and third Friday of every month, with occasional pop-up meetings with Sid as his schedule allows.
