First up for this weekend, Creation Entertainment’s Sci-Fi Summit featuring the 55-Year Mission Tour will take place from September 10th through 12th at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison. “Open a Book, Open the World” feat. LeVar Burton - Sunday, September 12th

And on Sunday, September 12th, Star Trek: The Next Generation’s LeVar Burton will host a PBS television special introducing this year’s National Book Festival, which takes place September 17th through 26th. Burton will appear with the Librarian of Congress, Dr. Carla Hayden, and the show will feature 20 of the nation’s leading literary voices discussing their newest books and speaking to the festival theme, “Open a Book, Open the World.” The show will premiere at 6pm ET on PBS, PBS.org, and the PBS video app. For more on the one-hour special and on the 2021 Library of Congress National Book Festival, visit LOC.gov.
