STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS Soundtrack Set to Be Released on. Vinyl For the First Time
The score for the 2013 film Star Trek: Into Darkness by Michael Giacchino is set to be released as a “Deluxe Edition 3-LP Box Set.” This will be the first ever vinyl release for Michael Giaccino’s score for Star Trek: Into Darkness.
The album will be pressed onto three vinyls each colored Blue, Red and Yellow respectively to represent the iconic uniform colors. Each case has an image from the film on it and the vinyl collection also comes in a box with a cutout shaped like a Starfleet badge allowing fans to pick which image they would like to be displayed on their collection. In addition to all of that it comes with a booklet depicting behind the scenes photos and notes from both J.J Abrams and Michael Giacchino.
If you want to get your hands on the colored deluxe set you better act fast. It's a very limited edition item with only 1,000 copies total. You can pre-order the set here. The official release date for these records is September 6th but they’re likely to sell out during pre-orders. There will be a translucent set available to the rest of the world on the release date, however it’s unclear how many of those will be pressed so if you want to guarantee you get your hands on these records I suggest you order quickly.
