Star Trek: Prodigy is getting its own video game: "Supernova"
APRIL 11, 2022 - A brand new Star Trek adventure is set to unfold soon across multiple gaming platforms. Using vibrant, colorful signage, Star Trek: Prodigy: Supernova was revealed to the public last weekend at Star Trek: Mission Chicago. Photographed and sent in a tweet during the convention, our friends at TrekCore.com brought us the news of Nickelodeon Animation Studios’ first move into the world of video games.
Supernova is expected to feature the crew of the U.S.S. Protostar in a child-friendly game. While the crew is pictured, the only confirmation we have so far of cast involvement is Kate Mulgrew’s enthusiasm for the new game. On Friday, Mulgrew tweeted a photo of a Supernova banner featuring her character, saying, “Hologram Janeway is present and accounted for at Mission Chicago @startrekmission - and there is a new #StarTrekProdigy #videogame coming soon! Find me tomorrow or Sunday & ask me about it!”

The game is set to be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Star Trek: Prodigy: Supernova is being developed by Tessera Studios in partnership with publisher Outright Games. “The full reveal” of Supernova is expected on the Outright Games YouTube channel late next month.
