Star Trek: Quantum Filament lands in Las Vegas, inviting fans to try Escapology's latest themed escape room
SEPTEMBER 23, 2021 - If you’ve ever watched a Red Alert unfold on Star Trek while a warp containment breach is imminent and thought to yourself, “No sweat. I could totally rescue the ship,” well, now’s your chance to prove it. As reported by ComicBook.com, that’s the exact scenario players will face in the new Star Trek: Quantum Filament escape room which is now live in Las Vegas.
Brought to life by the company Escapology, Star Trek: Quantum Filament puts you and your friends on the USS Discovery in the 32nd century just as the ship is hit by - you guessed it - a quantum filament, the same phenomenon which nearly took out the Enterprise in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, “Disaster.” According to Escapology’s website:
“Your first order of business is escaping your turbolift and finding a way to communicate with senior members of the crew. If you can re-establish communications, you may be able to work together to repair the antimatter containment field before the strength falls below 15% which is projected to be in precisely 60 minutes time.”
No word yet on which “senior members of the crew” might appear in the game, or what crises they might be facing as a result of the quantum filament. According to the promo video released on Escapology’s YouTube channel, the players of the game are trapped near the Auxiliary Control Room and are the ship’s “best option for helping Discovery and its crew avoid this disaster.” (Nice little episode title shout-out there!)
Quantum Filament is located at Las Vegas Town Square, and is a private event escape room, meaning groups who book the game have it all to themselves. You can learn more about this unique way to immerse yourself in the Star Trek universe and make a booking at Escapology.com.
