Terry Matalas Talks a Game Changing Picard Season Three

JANUARY 27, 2023 – Back in October we reported on what’s coming up in season three of Star Trek: Picard, including the three villains: Vadic, Lore, and Moriarty. Now TrekMovie is reviewing some of that, well, data, and reporting on comments from showrunner Terry Matalas that indicate something big is in the works.
Matalas spoke with SFX and said, “There is definitely a major event in the Star Trek universe. But not in a way that undoes it in any way. People hear game-changing like, oh god, we’re gonna undo some of Star Trek so it no longer feels like that. That’s certainly not what it is. But it will feel like an event in Star Trek history.”
While it is not clear what that is, of course, nor what role our villains will be playing in the outcome of this final season of Picard, it sounds like we’ll be on the edge of our seats come February 16, when the season begins.
