The Orville crew is back in the new trailer for season 3
MAY 12, 2022 - Season three of the popular Star Trek homage The Orville (dubbed New Horizons) is coming to the Hulu streaming platform in just a few weeks with a June 2nd premiere. Last month saw the release of new key art for New Horizons. Gearing up for the release, the network has just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming season - and it’s a doozy.
Posted to the Hulu YouTube channel yesterday, the trailer for New Horizons already has more than a million views. Featuring all of your favorite crewmembers from the first two seasons, the series picks up where it left off. Tension is high as the Kaylon are still a major threat in the galaxy, leading to more uncertainty on board with Isaac (the resident Kaylon aboard the Orville) caught in the middle.
It’s been a long road, getting from… wait. Wrong show, but the lyrics apply. Production on The Orville: New Horizons was in full swing when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, forcing a shutdown in early 2020. Filming would eventually go on to resume in December of that year. To help keep things interesting, Dark Horse Comics released The Orville: Season 2.5: Launch Day, a two-part comic miniseries meant to shed more light on the series’ characters, and keep the fans wanting more.
Soon, they will get it.
The Orville: New Horizons premieres June 2nd only on Hulu. Need to catch up on the series before the new season arrives? No problem - the first two seasons are available to stream now.
