The Sir Patrick Stewart Archive is open for viewing at Heritage Quay, Huddersfield

The Sir Patrick Stewart Archive is open for viewing.
The University of Huddersfield in the U.K. is home to the Stewart Archive, a trove of material from and relating to the Star Trek: Picard actor, and part of the Archive is currently available for public viewing. On display in the Heritage Quay exhibition space in Huddersfield is a combination of items from the actor himself, and from the Patrick Stewart Research Library, a fan-run group from the U.S.
The Archive covers a period from 1954 to 2001, and includes items from his early days with the Royal Shakespeare Company, all the way through his later roles and appearances at fan conventions. Among the treasures is the last ever script for Star Trek: The Next Generation, which was signed on the cover by his fellow cast members.

Stewart has a special relationship with the University of Huddersfield. He was born in Mirfield, less than 10 miles from the Northern English town. He served as Chancellor of the university from 2004 to 2015, and visited as recently as last summer, where he spoke about his return to the role of Jean-Luc Picard.
David Smith, the University’s Public Engagement Officer for Archives and Special Collections, said of the Archive, “The collection is a fascinating insight into the man behind the actor and it is available as a reference source for anyone interested in Patrick’s career, members of the public or active researchers, and is an invaluable source of biographical material.”
The Sir Patrick Stewart exhibition is open seven days a week at the Heritage Quay exhibition space in Huddersfield, and you can view additional items from the Archive when the research room is open to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays.
