This Week's Episode of 'Star Trek: Lower Decks' Is Sure to Appeal to Niners
SEPTEMBER 28, 2022 - When the Star Trek: Lower Decks season 3 trailer was released, fans noticed a particularly intriguing moment. The U.S.S. Cerritos approaches DS9 and then, in a direct parody of the classic Trek show’s opening credit sequences, circles the station.
After premiering the trailer at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, LD creator Mike McMahan assured fans that" “we will walk the promenade, we will enjoy the Cardassian architecture... and you might see some friendly faces in there."
Well, the time has come for McMahan to put his money where his mouth is. The episode, which was written by Grace Parra Janney and directed by Fill Marc Sagadraca, premieres this Thursday. According to the logline, “the Cerritos crew unexpectedly spends a day on Deep Space Nine.” Meanwhile, Mariner, who we know once served on DS9, tries to impress Jennifer’s friends.
No spoilers here, except to say that “Hear All, Trust Nothing” is a doozy of an episode. If you’re a DS9 fan who’s been craving the return of some of the beloved characters from that series, you won’t be disappointed. And if you’ve somehow missed watching LD for the past two and a half seasons, now might be a good time to check it out.
Star Trek: Lower Decks'‘ latest episode will be released on Thursday, September 29, exclusively on Paramount+.
