Tim Allen attends a screening of Galaxy Quest to benefit hometown theater

JULY 20, 2022 - The crew of the NSEA Protector is busy raising funds, admittedly for themselves, by appearing at conventions, in the Star Trek-adjacent fan-favorite Galaxy Quest. Now the film itself is being used for a real-world fundraiser.
The Bay Theatre, in Suttons Bay, Michigan, needs new seating and will be hosting a screening of Galaxy Quest to raise the necessary funds, according to the Glen Arbor Sun. Local resident Tim Allen, who played Jason Nesmith / Commander Taggart in the film, “will be on stage prior to the screening to answer questions, give away autographed merchandise, and reveal the sample of [the] new seats.”
