Get ready for The Orville: New Horizons with new key art and season 1 gag reel
APRIL 24, 2022 - Earlier this year we updated you on season three of the Star Trek-adjacent fan favorite, The Orville, with a new trailer and updated premiere date. As we approach the arrival of The Orville: New Horizons, related Twitter accounts have treated us to new key art and a gag reel.
The Orville shared the new poster, which features six ships flying into view over a star field. The ships are leaving colorful trails in their wakes, and their flight paths form the Planetary Union logo.

Tom Costantino, co-producer of The Orville, shared the season one gag reel, saying, “Hey all, since 6/2 is right around the corner, here’s a little treat (never seen before in public). #TheOrville #S1 gag reel. Enjoy it… before I get DRM’D.” The reel begins with an inspiring exterior shot of the USS Orville. Under the serious music of Beethoven’s Symphony #9, the less than serious bloopers feature flubbed lines, parts of the set falling over, actors falling over, and the laughing and mugging for the camera, as one does. And not to mention Chief of Security Alara Kitan clipping XO Kelly Grayson with a severed leg.
The Orville is set to premiere June 2 on Hulu, where you can also stream seasons one and two.
