Mego Toys announces new Star Trek: Discovery action figures of Saru, Burnham and Pike

OCTOBER 28, 2020 - Get ready for new Star Trek: Discovery action figures!

TrekCore.com reported this week that Mego, the vintage toy company and current makers of licensed Star Trek toys and figures, is to expand its line into Star Trek: Discovery, starting with a figure of Commander Saru. TrekCore says that the figure is the first of a planned three in the line, with Commander Michael Burnham and Captain Christopher Pike to follow in early 2021.

The new figures are 8” tall and will debut in Wal-Mart stores before heading to other retailers. In the U.K., Discovery figures will debut in B&M.

TrekCore notes that the Discovery figures will join Mego’s existing Star Trek lineup, which also includes a line of Star Trek: The Next Generation figures. Those figures launched with Captain Picard and Data earlier this year. That line is also expanding this fall, as Mego is adding a figure of Q in judge robes (from “Encounter at Farpoint”) and Locutus of Borg.

All the new Mego figures are expected to retail at $14.99 and arrive in stores ahead of the holiday season. You can also pre-order any of the new figures from Entertainment Earth.
