Funko POP! vinyl figures of Michael Burnham and Saru from Star Trek: Discovery

Back in January, we told you about the first two Funko POP! vinyl figures set to feature characters from Star Trek: Discovery, those of Saru and Michael Burnham. Funko announced the figures at the London Toy Fair and, after six long months, the wait is over. The new designs from Funko are the latest to join the growing line of Star Trek POP! figures, which already include characters from Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek Beyond and even characters from The Big Bang Theory in Star Trek uniforms.

In a report from TrekCore.com, photos of the new collectibles show the figures seemingly unchanged from the concept art in the January announcement. Michael Burnham is featured in a silver “science” uniform, sporting a phaser in one hand, while Saru is wearing “command” gold and “hoof-like Starfleet boots”, with a clear peg under the heel to help stabilize the keepsake.

The Michael Burnham and Saru characters are Funko POP! editions #1002 and #1003, respectively. While TrekCore notes the two figures are now in stock from some retailers, availability may be spotty. However, a good place to start would be either Amazon.com (where the figures are available from multiple sellers, some of whom charge for delivery), and you can also pre-order them from Entertainment Earth, where they’re showing a due date of July.
