MEME REVIEW MONDAY: Choosing Produce, a Film and the Right Words

MEME REVIEW MONDAY: Choosing Produce, a Film and the Right Words

Hello! Happy Meme Review Monday! I hope you all are doing well and your June is off to a great start. I have an absolutely fabulous set of memes lined up for you this week so let’s jump right into it!

First up we have a meme from @14e_ther on X.

Star Trek memes don’t get much stupider than this and I love it. This meme is so stupid that it becomes smart again. I actually laughed out loud when I saw this. I too mind meld with my fruit before deciding if I should buy it.

Next up we have a meme from @GeekLord221B on X.

The 50th anniversary of The Search for Spock just passed so I thought this meme was perfect. I wish I could say that The Search for Spock is the best proof that Spirk is real but I’m not even sure it makes the top 10. This is just how Kirk is when it comes to Spock.

Next up we have a meme sent to me by my friend (hi Syd!)

This is the summary of at least 5 DS9 episodes if not more. I know this is a meme but it also does a good job of highlighting Garak as a character and his relationship to the federation. DS9 is the first Star Trek show where we really get the perspective of a species outside of Starfleet and Garak does a great job at highlighting the difference in mindset and perspective. He does have legitimate solutions to the dominion war; they just also go against Starfleet code.

Next up we have a meme from @campyalien on X.

This meme does a better job at capturing Spock’s attitude than any actual photo of Spock I’ve ever seen. This is exactly how he looks at someone anytime they say something stupid. It is also the perfect reaction image and I will be sure to use it extensively in my interactions with others and I hope you do the same.

Next up we have a meme from @dataentryspecialist on Tumblr.

I had to think about this meme for a bit when I first saw it. The joke is that Lore uses contractions and Data doesn’t. So if you need more words in an essay you should talk like Data to add more words. I think this meme is quite clever.

Next up we have a meme from @gettheorion on Tumblr.

This meme is so accurate. I do this with TV shows more than movies though. My go-to movie is always David Bowie’s Labyrinth so it doesn’t work for a Star Trek meme. However replace movies with TV shows and it could definitely be a Star Trek meme.

Next up we have a meme from @socialistinspace on Instagram.

If you’ve been reading my meme reviews for a while you know I'm a sucker for puns and silly editing. This meme has both and thus is absolutely perfect in my book. This meme is perfect. I have absolutely no notes. I also like that Janeway is Strawberry flavored. I can’t explain it but that makes perfect sense for her.

Ok, That’s all I have for you all this week! I’ll see you next week!

Aster is a fresh face to Daily Star Trek News, joining the ranks as a contributing writer. Though he may be young, he self-describes as a hardcore nerd, lover of cheese sticks and niche internet discourse. Outside of his long-time obsession with Star Trek, Aster is an avid cosplayer, crocheter, and Catan enthusiast who is attending school for technical theater and design. He's very excited to debut in his "professional nerd career" and finally put all his obscure nerd facts to good use.
