MEME REVIEW MONDAYS: A LOTR Character, Starfleet Cereal, and Stress Relief

Thanks for the meme-ories!

Hello! Happy Meme Review Monday! I know you’re anxious to start you week off right so let’s get right into this meme review!

First up we have a meme from @earlgreymemes on X.

I love this meme. I do not know why there is Star Trek cereal but I’m not complaining. I would totally eat Star Trek cereal. This specific Starfleet cereal has some really good opinions. I will say, smiling Picard is a little disconcerting and makes me feel more uncomfortable eating this cereal.

Next up we have a meme from @mrjafri on X

This meme makes me so uncomfortable and that’s why I love it. Pike’s hair is absolutely iconic and probably one of the hardest materials in the universe. I think it would make a perfect Paramount Mountain. I think they should consider changing their logo to Pike.

Next up we have a meme from @robintreks on Instagram.

I’m not sure this is what Troi meant by “getting rid of the stressors in your life,” however it’s definitely effective. Poor Alexander is always getting the short end of the stick, especially in the realm of fathers. One might even say that Jack Picard had it better than him. I find baby Alexander’s face in this to be quite terrifying. Why is he smiling like that?

Next up we have a meme from @HeroWithinInc on X

This meme is so ahead of its time, about 200 years ahead to be precise. I wonder if there are citizen grade communicators in the Star Trek universe. I cannot remember if they’re ever mentioned but I can see why it would make sense. I wonder if there would be a debate about when kids should get their first communicator just like the debate now about when kids should get their own phone.

Next up we have a meme from @startrekmemes_ on Instagram

This account actually made a bunch of edits of the movie posters for Oscar-nominated movies but made them Star Trek-themed. I picked the Barbie one to show you all but they’re all amazing. I highly recommend you go check them out. I would love it if the TOS cast showed up in the Barbie movie. I couldn’t tell you what they would be doing there but I love the Barbie movie and I love TOS so only good things could come of a crossover.

Next up we have a meme from @startrek__memes on Instagram.

I like that in this meme the Enterprise runs on Windows 95. A software that, by the time of TNG, will be 370 years old. To put that in context that would be the equivalent of our scientists using technology from the 1650s, only 30 years after Shakespeare died. I wonder what would happen if Data pressed cancel. Would the engines shut down? I also like how in this meme Data controls the number of stars in space. Needless to say, in the year 2364 the capacity of Windows 95 has greatly expanded.

Next up we have a meme submitted by our very own David Powell.

This is a pure meme, no  frivolous captions. It is simple and to the point and it’s perfect. This meme also made me think about the kind of relationship Gimli and Worf would have. I imagine that they would be good friends. Of course Worf would be annoyed by Gimli but in an endearing way.

Finally we have a meme made by yours truly. This meme was inspired by a Tumblr post by @captainhanover.

I don’t think any comment I make about this meme will do it justice. This is my magnum opus. I hope you appreciate it in all its glory.

That’s all I have for you guys today! I’ll see you next week!!
