SEPTEMBER 19, 2022 - On October 5, 1987, in broadcast syndication, the third episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, entitled “The Naked Now,” premiered. While the crew was succumbing to a familiar virus that had plagued another Enterprise in days gone by, Wesley Crusher was showing off a portable tractor beam device to his friend Geordi LaForge. Impressed by the young man’s genius, Geordi claps him on the shoulder and states that he’s glad Wesley’s “0n our side.”

And indeed, Wesley grew up to become a powerful force in the universe. A time-traveling being in charge of the “Supervisors” and “Watchers”, possibly retconning the Original Series and even becoming Gary Seven’s boss!

But what if he wasn’t on our side? What if that same genius was driven by a lust for power and dominance? Star Trek Online has just announced such a “what if” in their new story update titled “Ascension.” We’ll see what happened to Wesley in just this situation. He’s become the Terran Emperor of the Mirror Universe. But not being satisfied with just power alone, he desires to become godlike so as to spread his tyrannical rule across his universe, and ours. To aid him in his quest, he’s merged with “The Other” a sentient ship, which is the Mirror Universe’s version of V’ger.

How will Starfleet stop an unstoppable force?

Fans who’ve always wanted more Wesley will certainly get it here.

He promises that his works will never contain profanity, gratuitous violence, or anything else that would prevent the entire family from enjoying them together.

He spends his days working in healthcare administration and in his evenings, in between plans for becoming “Lord Emperor of everything,” he types away at his keyboard letting his imagination out for the world to read.

He is fortunate to have a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters. He currently lives in Goodyear Arizona with his wife.
