JANUARY 13, 2021 - New fan-favorite Star Trek: Discovery actor Noah Averbach-Katz is heading to Reddit for an AMA.

Averbach-Katz announced the event on Twitter on Monday, saying, “Hey all! I’m going to be doing an AMA over at r/StarTrekDiscovery on @reddit this Friday (1/15) at 5 PM ET! Hope to see you all there so you can ask all about what @Grudge_Cat is really like when the camera[s] stop rolling....”

Averbach-Katz has been on a social media blitz since debuting his character, the Andorian Ryn, in Star Trek: Discovery season three. Back in November, he posted a video slideshow demonstrating the depths of his Star Trek fandom, instantly earning him a place in the hearts of Trekkies worldwide. Oh yeah, and he’s also married to Mary Wiseman, Discovery’s own Ensign Sylvia Tilly.

For the last couple months, he’s been making the rounds of major Star Trek blogs and podcasts, including our friends at Trek.Report and Trek Profiles. And now, fans will have the opportunity to ask questions directly of the man himself, via AMA.

For the uninitiated, AMA stands for “Ask Me Anything”, a staple of Reddit culture whereby a notable person hosts a kind of live chat, fielding questions from Reddit users. If your question is good, count on an upvote, and if you’re a troll, well, get downvoted into oblivion.
