On a tropical paradise planet, Mariner questions Commander Ransom on how he structures his away team. Boimler makes a bold career decision.
AUGUST 30, 2022 - In Richard Connell’s 1924 short story “The Most Dangerous Game,” a big-game hunter finds himself stuck on an island, prey to a bigger-game hunter whose thesis is that mere wild animals don’t provide enough sport for a blood-thirsty predator; hunting humans is the real challenge. The story has been adapted numerous times, but Star Trek: Lower Decks’ take on it is a little bit different.
This week’s episode, dropping Thursday, September 1, turns the tale on its head. Boimler decides it’s time to become bold and agree to everything he’s asked to do, even if it’s foolhardy, like being asked to become a ferocious alien’s prey. Once the hunt begins, we follow Boimler and his foe on a mad dash around the Cerritos. Odds are against Bold Boimler. Will he survive?
