Preview Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode 7 "The Serene Squall" with new photos and a trailer
JUNE 14, 2022 - From Orions to Nausicaans, Federation ships and crews have encountered their fair share of pirates. This week, in episode seven of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, it looks to be Captain Pike’s Enterprise’s turn.
In “The Serene Squall," while on a dangerous humanitarian mission, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise stumbles into a harrowing game of leverage with the quadrant’s deadliest space pirate.
The episode will feature Jesse James Keitel as Dr. Aspin. Beau DeMayo and Sarah Tarkoff wrote the episode, and Sydney Freeland directed it. DeMayo co-wrote episode four, “Memento Mori,” and Tarkoff co-wrote episode two, “Children of the Comet.” This is Freeland’s first Trek episode. He has previously worked on shows such as Fear the Walking Dead and Grey’s Anatomy.
This week’s photos feature Keitel as well as Lawrence Libor as a weapons pirate and Michael Hough as Remy. A trailer for “The Serene Squall” can be seen on Twitter, which includes an attempt to commandeer the Enterprise, as pirates are wont to do.
