Sir Patrick Stewart hopes to see more of his Next Gen co-stars in Star Trek: Picard
Sir Patrick Stewart hopes that we’ll see more of his Next Generation crewmates in Star Trek: Picard before the series finishes its run.
Stewart was speaking as part of a Picard panel at the Television Critics’ Association press tour last week, and Deadline was there. The packed panel featured producers Akiva Goldsman, Heather Kadin, Kirsten Beyer, Michael Chabon, and boss Alex Kurtzman, as well as stars Isa Briones, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera, Evan Evagora and Alison Pill (no relation).
In the last words of the panel, Stewart referred to his old crew aboard the Enterprise-D, and his hopes for their appearances in Picard. He said, “It is my hope that whenever the series wraps, we will have encountered all the principal actors from Next Generation.” We have at least two seasons to see whether his hopes come to fruition.
Star Trek: Picard debuts this Thursday, January 23rd, on CBS All Access here in the States. In Canada, it will be on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi and Crave. Outside the United States and Canada, Star Trek: Picard is available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, and will air starting Friday, January 24th.
