Shore Leave: Friday, July 15 – Sunday, July 17

Gates McFadden, John Billingsley, and Bonnie Gordon will be among the guests this weekend at Shore Leave. (McFadden will be there Saturday and Sunday only, and BarBara Luna and Robert Duncan McNeill had to cancel.) Several Star Trek authors will also be in attendance, including Dayton Ward, Kevin Dilmore, David Mack, Greg Cox, and Christopher L. Bennett, among others. GrandeCon: Friday, July 15 – Sunday, July 17

George Takei is scheduled to appear Saturday and Sunday at GrandeCon, taking place at the Bonnetts Energy Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. The convention is in support of Odyssey House, which provides safe, secure, and supportive accommodation for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence, are in crisis, or in need of a housing alternative. Star Trek Original Series Set Tour: Friday, July 15 – Sunday, July 17

William Shatner will be at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour, which is located in Ticonderoga, New York. Details and purchase of varying levels of tours and photo opportunities are available at Star Trek Tour.

The Greatest Generation: The Double Dumbass Tour: Saturday, July 16

The Double Dumbass Tour is the Greatest Generation’s live celebration/review/roast of Star Trek IV: The One with the Whales. It’s a 90-minute show featuring jokes, clips, slash fic and more. The show goes on at The Virgil, in Los Angeles, at 7:00 p.m. PT. Details and tickets are available at Eventbrite.

Tom Hardy Private Signing: Sunday, July 17

·These are the Twitter watchalongs:

o   #allstartrek runs Sunday through Friday at 8/7C and follows the Heroes and Icons Channel’s All Star Trek programme.

o   #TOSSatNight starts at 9pm PT on Saturday night and follows a different episode of The Original Series every week, and

o   #StarTrekHour is a Q&A-format event, every Tuesday at 1pm PT.

·To Proudly Go, a New York-based nonprofit, will be hosting The Orville season three viewing parties each Saturday. The gatherings begin at 6:00pm ET at the Barracuda Lounge in New York City. The viewing parties also include Star Trek trivia games, special Star Trek-themed drag performances, two-for-one drinks, fabulous Star Trek prizes, and merchandise. ·Virtual Trek Con presents The Main Viewer every Tuesday - a live discussion show on YT with occasional special guests and an open chat geared towards fan interaction.

·Disco Does DnD - livestream DnD game with DSC actors on Twitch, every Sunday at 1pmPT/4pmET.

· Join Grey Havens Philosophy and Outworld Brewing every first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. as they discuss the big ideas inspired by Star Trek. The gatherings are at Outworld Brewing, in Longmont, Colorado. Attendance is free, but an RSVP for planning purposes is appreciated at Eventbrite.

·And finally, there’s Sid City Social Club, hosted by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine star Alexander Siddig’s official fan website.
