GalaxyCon Live: Star Trek: The Next Generation and William Shatner - Saturday, November 7th
Update 6 Nov 2020: Jonathan Frakes unfortunately cannot make the livestream on Saturday due to filming commitments. He will still doing purchased live chats, but on Sunday. See galaxycon.com for further updates.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard from GalaxyCon, at least as far as Star Trek events go. But this weekend, they’re back with a Star Trek: The Next Generation panel featuring Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner and Marina Sirtis, and moderated by William Shatner.
The event starts at 2pm ET, and as with all GalaxyCon events, tickets are free but required. If you so desire, you can also purchase autographs or one-on-one video chats. For more information, just head to galaxycon.com.
The Vendor’s Haul virtual convention - Saturday, November 7th
Also on Saturday, November 7th, but running all day, it’s The Vendor’s Haul. Science Division, makers of official Star Trek app-enabled tribbles, are hosting a free virtual convention featuring some of the best sci-fi merch in the quadrant. It’s your chance to get your nerdy holiday shopping done, and support licensed vendors affected by the pandemic.
In addition to vendors, there is also a full day of panels planned, including a not-to-be-missed discussion about theatre and COVID-19, with Star Trek actors (and thespians!) Armin Shimerman and Kitty Swink. Other guests and panelists include Star Trek science advisers Dr. Mohamed Noor and Dr. Erin Macdonald, The Bad Astronomer Phil Plait, Mel from the Sid City Social Club, Dr. Trek Larry Nemecek, the Syfy Sistas, and more.
For more information, including a list of vendors, visit vendorshaul.com, and you can view the full schedule of panels at vendorshaul.com/schedule.
