Star Trek: Prodigy heads to the holodeck in "Kobayashi"; preview the episode with new stills

JANUARY 5, 2022 - Star Trek: Prodigy is back, picking up on the second half of the first season with “Kobayashi”. The first five episodes of Prodigy debuted in 2021, with the rest of the season continuing on Thursday, January 6th, 2022 after a brief hiatus while the first half of Star Trek: Discovery’s fourth season launched on the Paramount+ platform.
“Kobayashi” means just what you’re thinking. In this episode, Gwyn struggles to find her role aboard the U.S.S. Protostar while Dal tests his leadership skills in the newly discovered holodeck with a simulation, the “Kobayashi Maru”. Once the program is running, Dal is seemingly transported to the bridge of a Galaxy class starship for the advanced Starfleet training exercise.
