Star Trek Short Treks “Q&A”, Featuring Spock and Number One, Available to Watch Now
In addition to the release of the new Star Trek: Picard trailer, a new Star Trek Short Trek premiered on Saturday as well.
The new fourteen-minute short, entitled “Q&A”, shows Spock’s first day aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise (you can view the trailer on YouTube). He is greeted by the first officer, Number One, who informs him that as science officer, he is expected to ask questions of her until, as she says, he “become[s] an annoyance”. When the two get stuck in a malfunctioning turbolift, however, the questions and answers become in turns enlightening and humorous.
As with most Short Treks, this one is largely inconsequential, but does provide some fun additional color to the characters of Spock and Number One. We also get an appearance by Captain Pike at the end, so this short vignette will go some way to satisfying the desires of fans who wanted to see more of the trio of Pike, Spock, and Number One after Discovery season two.
Star Trek Short Treks “Q&A” is available for streaming now, exclusively on CBS All Access.
