Star Trek Universe NYCC Panel Available to Watch on YouTube
For those of you who were not able to attend last weekend’s Star Trek Universe panel at New York Comic Con (which, let’s face it, was most of us), you’ll be glad to know that you can now watch it in its entirety on YouTube.
SYFY WIRE, the official streaming partner of New York Comic Con, has made all the weekend’s main stage panels available on their YouTube page, and that - of course - includes Star Trek. The first 40 minutes of the hour-and-twenty-minute long panel featured the cast and producers for Star Trek: Discovery season 3, including a Q&A session. The remaining 40 minutes featured the cast and producers of Star Trek: Picard.
Sir Patrick Stewart, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill (no relation), Harry Treadaway and Evan Evagora were all present to take questions, and they were joined by Star Trek boss Alex Kurtzman, showrunner Michael Chabon, and the rest of the production team. While they couldn’t say much about the new show, they did their best, covering topics ranging from how they convinced Sir Patrick Stewart to take the role, to the decision to include familiar Star Trek actors in the new series.
Outside of the new trailers, which I brought you yesterday, the panel didn’t reveal a ton of new information. But if you can’t get enough of Star Trek actors and producers talking about Star Trek, then this one is for you.
