The Orville Will Have a Big Presence at Comic Con, Too
Last week, I told you about the news that The Orville would be holding a panel at San Diego Comic Con. This week, we have more news around what other activities they’ll have going on as well.
While The Orville won’t have anything like the presence that Star Trek is due to have, there will still be plenty for fans to experience, and maybe a few hints about what’s to come.
First up, Dark Horse Comics, the publishers of the upcoming The Orville comic book series, published their signing schedule for the convention. In a prime slot on Saturday afternoon, the cast of The Orville (apparently without creator Seth MacFarlane), will be signing at the Dark Horse booth in the exhibit hall. Fans can get a free print, or purchase a copy of The Orville #1, which is due out later this week.
Then there’s The Orville Experience, which The Unofficial SDCC Blog refers to as an “offsite museum”. According to their report, The Orville Experience will feature “original props, costumes, a unique model of The Orville, and other surprises.” Badges are not required for the exhibit, which takes place Friday and Saturday at 390 11th Avenue in downtown San Diego, right across from the San Diego Central Library.
