It was today, October 28th, back in 1991 that the Star Trek: The Next Generation season five episode “The Game” first aired. Besides being a cautionary tale about video game addiction that, it could be argued, presaged the idea of our society’s current obsession with social media, this was also the episode where Wesley Crusher (played by Wil Wheaton) got to team up with Robin Lefler (played by a baby Ashley Judd) to defeat Commander Riker and save the ship from would-be invaders.
