CBS ramps up advertising ahead of January premiere of Star Trek: Picard
There’s been a flurry of promotional activity over the holidays, as CBS All Access gears up for the world premiere of the latest Star Trek series, Star Trek: Picard. All the major entertainment news websites are covering all the nitpicky details, but the best place to get all the latest is direct from the source.
CBS aired a teaser during its NFL football coverage on December 29th, according to TrekCore:
CBS All Access posted a teaser video on January 2nd, featuring Harry Treadaway as Romulan Narek, to mark three weeks until the series premiere:

Another new commercial was recorded by fans, and TrekMovie kindly captured it on January 3rd:
And of course, Comicbook.com showed off yet another new commercial featuring the song “Blue Skies”, just yesterday, on January 5th:
If you’re a fan who likes to know every rumor and spoiler before they happen, then you’ll want to follow those websites. TrekCore dissected several snippets from the NFL spot, including closeups of the new Starfleet comm badges, and what they term “the Federation renaissance faire”. TrekMovie dove deep into the latest CGI work on Data’s appearance. And Comicbook.com explained why some fans are excited about Picard using “Blue Skies” (it’s because Data - and later B4 - sang it in Star Trek: Nemesis).
But in all cases, the best place to get glimpses of the upcoming show is directly from CBS, by watching their biggest broadcast shows, like the NFL, or by following their social media accounts.
You can watch broadcast CBS without a cable subscription, with an indoor TV antenna.
You can also, of course, watch on CBS All Access, at cbs.com. On social media, it’s best to follow both CBS All Access and Star Trek on CBS All Access; they’re inconsistent about what Star Trek content gets posted where, so best to follow both.
