Get ready for season 2 of Star Trek: Picard! Brand new photos and behind-the-scenes video released today
FEBRUARY 28, 2022 - Star Trek: Picard is back.
Season two officially premieres this Thursday, March 3rd with “The Star Gazer”. We have some new production stills from the episode, and a new video offering a look at what’s to come in the second season.
A brief synopsis for the episode reads, “Starfleet must once again call on legendary Jean-Luc Picard after members of his former crew – Cristóbal Rios, Seven of Nine, Raffi Musiker, and Dr. Agnes Jurati – discover an anomaly in space that threatens the galaxy.”
We’re going to see Raffi (Michelle Hurd) back in a Starfleet uniform, along with a few others you might now expect. Add Q (John de Lancie) into the mix, and it seems like season two will be off to a running start. Orla Brady returns as Laris, and April Grace is joining the cast as Admiral Whitley.
In addition to the production images, Paramount+ gave fans a bonus video this week - Setting The Stage: Star Trek: Picard. The video was posted to the Star Trek on Paramount+ Twitter account, featuring commentary from the cast on where their characters are heading in the second season, as well as a handful of clips from season two.
As a fair warning, this video contains plenty of season two spoilers. If you are the kind of fan who wants to know as little as possible before seeing Picard for yourself, this video is definitely not for you.
Once again, season two of Star Trek: Picard will premiere on Paramount+ Thursday, March 3rd, alongside the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery episode “Rosetta”.
