Hero Collector, the makers of the Eaglemoss Star Trek Starships Collection, announced a plethora of new starship models at Destination Star Trek last weekend. They showed off over two dozen new models across a number of ranges, and TrekCore was there with a great rundown of the new releases.

Eaglemoss seem to be focussing, among other things, on ships with relevant tie-ins to current Trek news. Among the new ships announced are Captain Pike’s Enterprise from “The Cage”, a nod to the popularity of Discovery’s Captain Pike. Likely influenced by the upcoming Star Trek: Picard, there’s a gold-plated Enterprise-D on the way, as well as an XL-sized Galaxy-class dreadnaught, which was the three-nacelled future version of the Enterprise-D from the TNG finale “All Good Things…” Likewise, with heavy ties to the Borg storyline that sets precedent for Star Trek: Picard, the Vulcan lander T’Plana-Hath makes an appearance in the upcoming releases; this was the passing Vulcan ship that made first contact with Zefram Cochrane in the film First Contact.

Eaglemoss also announced the first two of a series of Star Trek Online tie-in ships: the Gagarin-class battlecruiser and the Chimera-class heavy destroyer.

All these models, and many, many more, are expected to be available - first to UK customers, and later to US customers - in the next several months.
