Kate Mulgrew makes Star Trek Online debut as Captain Janeway and Mirror Janeway in latest update "Shadow's Advance"

Star Trek Online’s latest update, Shadow’s Advance, features Kate Mulgrew as Janeway

JANUARY 25, 2022 - To celebrate the 12th anniversary of Star Trek: Online, Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have announced that Captain Janeway will make her debut in the latest season Shadow’s Advance. The anniversary season includes a new featured episode, a new Task Force Operation mission (TFO), and a chance at the Tier 6 Jarok Alliance Cruiser! Shadow’s Advance is available now for PC, with the season coming to consoles in March.

Voiced by Kate Mulgrew of Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Prodigy, the Janeway character will join the fun in Shadow’s Advance alongside two more fan favorites, also appearing in their original voices: Captain Killy (Mary Wiseman) and Admiral Leeta (Chase Masterson). In Shadow’s Advance, Captains will encounter both the Prime and Mirror universe versions of Janeway, Tilly, and Leeta throughout the season.

Here’s a look at what to expect from Shadow’s Advance:

New Featured Episode – In the new episode “Red Shift”, players will have their first opportunity to play the Mirror version of their own characters. Team up with Marshal Janeway and her Terran forces to capture an important individual from the Federation’s Jupiter Station. 

New Task Force Operation – Today’s season introduces a brand new five-captain space TFO called “Iuppiter Iratus.” Players will need to assemble a team of five and stop the Terran Empire attempting to steal data from Jupiter Station.

Anniversary Event – Back by popular demand, the Omega Molecule Stabilization mission tasks players with stabilizing Omega molecules which Q has scattered throughout the galaxy. Participating in this event along with numerous episodes and TFOs associated with Mirror Universe, will unlock this year’s anniversary ship, the T6 Jarok Alliance Carrier.

Featured Star Trek Actors – Star Trek Online is excited to welcome Kate Mulgrew to the game. Players will also team up with the vicious Captain Killy, and Admiral Leeta, recently featured in Star Trek Online: Reflections.
