STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Season 5 Gets a Release Window and New Preview Clip
DECEMBER 5, 2023 - We officially have a release date for Star Trek: Discovery season 5!!
It’s been almost 2 years since Discovery season 4 and I don’t know about you but I’ve been itching for more. At CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, Paramount revealed that Discovery season 5 will be released sometime in April 2024!
Along with the announcement of the release date Paramount dropped an awesome sneak peek of season 5. In this clip we see Burnham and Book engaging in their classic banter (which I absolutely love) while fighting off an alien/robot/other unnamable and incomprehensible creature that can cloak! Burnham appears to be collecting data of some sort while Book is trying to fend off the creatures. It’s unclear how Book and Burnham were reunited but I’m not complaining.
Earlier this year we got a clip with probably one of my favorite lines of all time (“I’d rather not die out here. I’ve got a saxophone lesson to get to.”) In this clip we see a group of mercenaries who were willing to die with their ship rather than give up the information they stole. It’s clear that this season will be a race for information between the DISCO crew and whoever they’re against this time.
Though we don’t know much about what’s to come in Discovery Season 5, given what we do know, I’m sure it will be exciting.
