Star Trek Wines to release Risian beverages, plus more libations from the future
AUGUST 26, 2022 - Wine drinkers among the Star Trek fandom have had opportunities over the last few years to get their hands on bottles (and their contents) based on various aspects of the Star Trek universe. Star Trek Wines is back with some new entries, based on Star Trek: Picard (natch), Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Star Trek: Enterprise.
TrekCore got a sneak preview prior to this weekend’s 56-Year Mission in Las Vegas, where the new products will be on display.
Four wines are on their way, two of which are a Risian Rosé in a bottle recreated from the Enterprise season one episode, “Two Days and Two Nights,” and a Risian White in a bottle based on scans of a set-used bottle from Picard. These are expected to be available in December.
The other two are Chateau Picards (sourced from the real Chateau Picard in the French Saint-Estèphe region). One is a 2401 vintage in a replica bottle as seen in the Picard season two episode, “The Star Gazer.” This bottle includes a metallic label and silicone “wax dip” topper. The other is a 2221 vintage, based on replica bottles as seen, not in Picard, but in the Strange New Worlds episode, “Children of the Comet” during the captain’s dinner party. These are also expected to arrive in December.
TrekCore has more details as well as preorder links and multiple images of all the new releases coming this year from Star Trek Wines.
