Sir Patrick Stewart Inducted into Lucca Walk of Fame at Lucca Comics and Games 2019
Sir Patrick Stewart has been inducted into the Lucca Walk of Fame, in Lucca, Italy. Over the weekend, Stewart, along with the rest of the cast of the upcoming Star Trek: Picard, appeared at the 2019 Lucca Comics and Games Festival. They held a panel on Friday on the main stage, which was streamed live on Twitch.
According to StarTrek.com, during the panel, fans were treated to Stewart reciting Shakespeare, while cast members Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Harry Treadaway, Evan Evagora and Alison Pill (no relation) watched.
Following a press conference at the Festival, the Mayor of Lucca, Alessandro Tambellini, greeted Stewart, and inducted him into the Walk of Fame. Stewart cast his hands and signed his name in concrete as part of the ceremony.
Lucca Comics & Games Festival is the largest convention of its kind in Europe, and second largest in the world after Tokyo’s Comiket. 2019 was the 53rd annual festival, set in the ancient walled city of Lucca, in Italy.
Star Trek: Picard is currently in post production and due to premiere on January 23rd, 2020.
