Star Trek Online offers FREE Abraham Lincoln costume for a limited time

Yesterday, February 12th, was Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. And how better to celebrate it than dress up your favorite starship captain in a suit and top hat!

In celebration of Lincoln’s birthday, and just because they’re awesome, Star Trek Online have announced that for a limited time, you can get an Abraham Lincoln-themed outfit for your character to wear in game. Quoting the announcement: “Four Score and Seven Years ago, a cry went out from Captains across the galaxy. They had seen the epitome of style, the grandest of Space Barbie, and they wanted it. [...] Wear the stylings of Abraham Lincoln on all races, with the Long Coat, Bowtie, and Top Hat that the man himself made famous in [the Star Trek Online episode] The Measure of Morality.”

The special “Emancipator” costume is available - for free - to all players on the PC version of the game, and you can find it in the in-game Zen Store. But hurry, it’s available for a limited time only, now through February 17th. Between the freebie costume and all the new content available for the game’s 10th Anniversary, there’s never been a better time to log on to the free-to-play MMORPG Star Trek Online.
