Star Trek Timelines “Double Jeopardy” crossover Picard/Discovery mega-event starts today, April 9th
Star Trek Timelines, the incredibly popular mobile game, has announced its April mega-event, and it will be a crossover between Star Trek: Discovery and Star Trek: Picard.
The event, which is called “Double Jeopardy” features crew from both series. The Star Trek Timelines team says, “After the Discovery becomes public knowledge again, so too does Lieutenant Commander Airiam’s story of corruption and sacrifice. A call for a ban on synthetics is revived by none other than a version of Airiam herself, before the accident that turned her into a cyborg! Can you, Soji, and Admiral Picard change hearts and minds before the situation gets out of hand?”
If that description sets your head spinning, it’s worth remembering that the central premise of Timelines is that there’s a temporal anomaly that makes all the different eras of Star Trek collide together. That’s great, of course, for gameplay, since you can play with your Chekov and your Chakotay, or your Captain Pike and your Captain Picard, all at the same time. But it can make the storyline get a little creative.
Anyway, the “Double Jeopardy” mega-event follows a similar format to previous mega-events in that it consists of four parts, one per week. The galaxy event “Constellations” starts in-game today, followed by the hybrid faction/skirmish event “Seekers of Life” on April 16th. Then it’s the faction event “Suitable Menace” on the 23rd, and the skirmish event “A Marginal Victory” on the 30th, and finishing on May 6th. That should keep you busy for the month.
Star Trek Timelines is free to play and available on iOS, Android, Facebook, Steam and Amazon.
