Star Trek events: Thursday, July 30th - Wednesday, August 5th
Many of us are lamenting the lack of STLV this week, but there are still a few virtual Star Trek events that will hopefully keep you going.
Unbelievable!!!!! Online premiere - Saturday, August 1st
Star Trek parody film Unbelievable!!!!! Is having its online premiere this Saturday, August 1st, at 12pm PT. In a statement, the film’s producers said of the event, “Fans will get to see ‘Unbelievable!!!!!’ before it is released, then interact with their favorite stars online, and can even sign up in advance to ask a one-on-one question of their favorite cast members!”
Among the film’s stars scheduled to participate on Saturday are: Chase Masterson, Garrett Wang, Marina Sirtis, Anthony Montgomery, Dominic Keating, Bobby Clark, Chris Doohan, John Billingsley and Robert Picardo.
For more information on the event, including how to purchase tickets, which start at $19.99, visit facebook.com/officialunbelievablethemovie.
Star Trek Online Lohlunat Festival - from Tuesday, August 4th
Next up, it’s the Summer Festival in Star Trek Online. Every year around this time, players can head to Risa and take part in a variety of minigames in order to earn themselves special in-game prizes. This year, you can earn new baseball uniforms, rock band t-shirts, and rainbow-colored pets. You can also save up for the grand prize, the all new Risian Weather Control Vehicle starship.
This special event starts Tuesday, August 4th and runs through September 3rd, and will be available simultaneously on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4. For more information about the event, check out the blog post on startrekonline.com.
